Wishing you all a great Easter

Traditional Flaounes
I hope you all have a great memorable holiday...
Hello, I'm sorry for me not being around, computer broken plus exams is truly a terrible combination, anyhow I think it would be worth it to make my way up to this old computer and just send you guys some wishes and greetings. My Easter has been absolutely great and I'm so grateful. I think I'm ready to write some great posts. I am very inspired it's just when I sit down in front of a key board I kind of freeze up a little.
Anyway yes I hope that you all have a great easter sunday, and I hope your spending it with everyone you love, the pictures above are of a greek easter food called flaounes. They are made with egg and raisins, they are really tasty indeed. Sorry I have not been commenting on all your blogs but I am reading them! all of them! So yes that's all I wanted to say... for now. Stay well!

Life is Sweet and Sour

Mmm family meals
Don't cut those ribbons to take away the pain...
Hi all, sorry for not posting! I was just getting into the habit as well. My computer is broken once again! So I give up now, no more attempts to fix it. Life definitely is sweet and sour, sometimes it can lift you so high on joy and other things and other times it can knock you down. This year so far has definitely been one of the craziest and I hope eventually things get better. I need to be reminded so often how fortunate I am compared to those victims of disasters and so on. I do have many blog Ideas it's just a matter of putting them into action.  So here's to an update and let me know how your coping with life! Thanks for sticking around ~ (Side question favourite dishes anyone?)

The Super Moon is a sign of hope

So big....
I can bring you Light when there's none around...
So did everyone see the supermoon? It was quite a while ago but I didn't post because I was so busy, It was so beautiful to look at. Quite hard to photograph to be honest. I guess it's just a suttle reminder of the amazing world we live in. Once every twenty years makes you feel kind of special. Mind you we are the generation which experienced the millennium so we should feel really lucky. Sometimes I look up at the moon and think that there is someone else looking up at the exact same moon as me but millions of miles away and it makes me happy. I feel connected to the other person. The moon is almost my friend at night, when I can't get to sleep the moon is around most of the time not in a particular rush to go anywhere with all it's stars.

When I was a kid I used to think each star was a relative which had died and they were looking down at me. Hmm I do love summer nights sitting out and watching the sky on my swing in Cyprus. Good times. So when you look at the moon tonight, think of me, and I just might be looking up at it with you. Did you see it? ~

Super sun? It doesn't blind me to look at when it goes all circley

April is always good to me

I get so excited over light, gee imagine what I'm like when I see the sea
Let the rain wash the pain away of yesterday...
Aaaah April. The time where light and rain come out to play at the same time. Since I'm just coming down from a high period of time, it's natural I'm feeling a little sad and lonely but April comes just in time to cheer me up! On like the second of April I was walking to the train station and it was light but there were clouds of all shades, dark and light then it started pouring with rain, it was so beautiful! It also felt like I had a shower after! The light shimerring off each raindrop was such a nice surprise. Not to mentions some trees and plants are just beginning their blossoms! Days are getting warmer, people seem happier as well as lighting conditions outside being ready for photos! As a matter of fact I just got my braces off! So excited I can't stop staring in disbelief every time I walk past a mirror! Will post pictures soon
I recently had time to take a peek at Zara's web store and wow! Some nice clothes not to mention the lookbook and people shoots totally inspire me! I want to upload a people shot so bad but you need two pieces from their latest collection and I can't afford anything right now! I suggest you check the store out! I mean the lookbook's give me so much inspiration!

Oh and by the way how brilliant is this jumper on the right? It's like one of those pieces I feel like I've been searching for all my life. Hmm for £30? It's a bit too much. It must be nice to be able to not have to think about money. But it is important for everyone to watch they don't go overboard and start getting ripped off. Below is a lookbook I did to celebrate HAPPENINGS launching! I have many blog Ideas so posting will be regular. This isn't my grand return to fashion blogging, just a little fashion update. I'd also like to thank you guys for reading! Even though only a few comments I appreciate them greatly, I absolutely love hearing what you think. So! I have a question to ask, I'm going to do a little guess the letter in the header one day a week, but I'm not sure what day? If you could leave me a comment saying what day guess the letter in the header should be and a reason why, I would really appreciate that! Thanks so much for reading as usual and see you soon!

Songs for Japan Acoustic Night Fundraiser

My personal fave of the night 'Meyada' sung 'Who wants to live forever'
We're going to sing for the World...
So as a blogger, I need to talk about serious topics as well as light-hearted ones. And if you didn't notice I did not have a Japan post near the time of the tsunami. I saw post after post of fashion bloggers dedicating a little paragraph to it, which is fine, as long as everyone does what they can. Personally though I wanted to do something a little different, thankfully a girl from my school had this great idea to hold an acoustic night to raise money for Japan. A group of people got together and we each got different roles. Me and my friend Holly sold 15 tickets, we sold our bunch out! So of course my role was Photography, which was great because I ended up with all these stunning pictures I could share with you guys!
It was a great success in the end, I don't know how much money we raised in the end. But I'm sure it was enough to make a difference. My heart still reaches out to all those effected. How much their lives have been turned upside down. To think I'm sitting here writing this when there are people sleeping in a homeless centre who have lost everything. Possessions can be gained again but lives can't. Also what are we doing as people with this nuclear energy? I thought we had already decided renewables where the way forward. So all we can do now is donate and pray. All thoughts with Japan ~
If you haven't already please donate here, it doesn't matter if Japan is a rich country they need YOUR help so donate now: http://www.redcross.org.uk/Donate-Now?single=1
The sun in this picture kind of looks like the flag of japan

Some nice cake
Everyone was brilliant when it came to working as a team

Sometimes When I'm Sad some nice food cheers me up

Mmmmm
Feed me...
Like Sushi for example. I don't know how anyone can hate sushi. The rice is just so delicious and it's just enormously tasty. When I'm ill or feeling bad and I can't put anything in my mouth sushi is my last resort. It's just so expensive that's the problem! I should probably get round to learning how to make my own but when I have so much work finding the time seems to be hard. This week has been a week of chaos. Warning rant coming up Literally I've had my computer breaking AGAIN, lost my hard drive, found it, it broke, I fixed it, fixed my laptop for 20 pounds AGAIN, got ill, got rejected to shoot in st pancreas, redid my coursework about 7 times, had to delete 3 pages of extended project, take photos at acoustic night while being Ill, bringing a load of tissues to class had two tests one biology and a chemistry. PLUS tonight I have a drama performance with someone who thinks she's leader of the group nagging on 24/7 how our performance will be rubbish when it's perfectly fine.     Sigh. Sorry about that back to food....

If  only I had a frozen supply of these.....

Or some chicken tama rice from Wagamama's would make me happy. So filling with all those gorgeous roasted vegetables. Another thing how can some people dislike their vegetable when they are older than ten? Vegetables are almost as amazing as meat! I enjoy my food. I definitely think Asia and the Mediterranean have the best food by far. I love all the greek food I get to consume, just wish I had more asian. Another reminder of the fact we simply can't have it all. Any how I'm ill thus sorry for the quick random post. At the end of this post is one of my favourite sick songs, so groovy! I just need to think happy thoughts to get better. Which better be soon! ~

How I Spent Earth Hour 2011

The Earth is an awesome place
Turning the Lights off
So how did I spend my earth hour? Well at 8 30 sharp I was forcing all my family to turn off everything! I couldn't get the tv off but at least all the lights shut down. It felt great! We had the fire on and it was brilliant so cosy! It was almost like a bonding experience too! Not being able to see seems to bring everyone closer in a way. Which is interesting because I saw a little article in GQ style about these friends who covered their faces for an experiment and said they felt closer then they ever had been before.
So I'm proud to say I got a few people involved by bothering them on twitter about it! I did cheat a little though, I left my laptop on to help me see a little and left 3/4 of the way through the hour for a party! Hmm. Work is terrible at the minute, I need to learn lines for my drama exam, revise Bio and Chem for experiment exams and write our Drama coursework plus test shooting for my commercial! Ugh Dreadful. But it is nice to sit back at the end of the day and write about it all here. How did you spend your earth hour? I'd love to hear. I know poor Idda spent it alone xD perhaps it will be a more fun one next year eh? haha

Oops
Nice and warm

Oh spring what took you so long?

So much love in blossoms, why is valentine's day in winter again?
So...
Hello everyone, thank you if your reading this because it meant you were bothered enough to follow me here. So here I am, with a blog that feels right. Officially stepped out of the fashion-blogging world like others have done. It doesn't mean I won't post fashion related stuff, just the blog will be more about me and charities and that sorta thing. I have kept the template white to let my content shine through. I hope you enjoy reading my Happenings and here's to a new blogging future! I left the other blog because of the way it was heading, felt like the wrong audience and everything was becoming too self centred and greedy plus not to mention a little bit vein. I just felt I was almost competing to see who built up the biggest lie about themselves.
The pictures in this post are my spring shots. I love doing a start of spring post and this spring has been utterly beautiful. I hope you enjoy the pictures, also a short spring video might be up soon if your lucky. Feel free to vote in the poll on the right! Ty for reading and appreciate you all (By the way photos are low res so load faster) ~

Light Floods

Ooooh look at me posing, aha!
Corrine Bailey Rae's cover - I Wanna Be Your Lover
Topic
Still computer less for now! I'm carrying around my life on a hard disk! It's quite different I feel like a travelling person, or like a bird you could say. Looking for my home. Any how! One day when the light was beaming through my window I was determined to get back into shooting self portraits, they are good ways of putting through emotions and feelings whilst portraying a sense of style even though they aren't polished and head to toe like looks on lookbook. I find shooting those awfully difficult . So I messed around on Manual mode and really managed to get some interesting light and angles going into the camera. This Leads me on to my topic of the post, there I went from wanting to do something in my day to taking these light inspired photos! Just because a few rays of light found their way into my room. Light really changes everything it touches what an amazing effect a little like snow.

Light helps plants grow, which helps the rest of the animals function. Light can provide energy, cheer people up and help people see clearly. It's amazing, just like water light is essential. Not to mention the thousands of people just like me who are inspired and amazed by something as 'basic' but brilliant such as light. As a photogrpaher, I need to learn how to control and manipulate light for it to work to my effect, you could almost say it's like a love affair between any photographer and light.

The shots are quite 'glam' which isn't usually me but it was hard to match up to the light so bold positions was the only way to stand out in the frame. I do miss having my face more often on my blog, as it makes it feel mine. Latest happenings have been around school and repairing everything that's broken really. Feeling unusually sleepy this week also. But nevertheless excited once again for the future! Trip planning is going well and have some more london pictures to show you guys from Sunday's little love art trip! Here are the rest of the pictures from the light spells! Please don't forget to comment/love/share/hype/follow! Ty ~
Oh and on another note, how amazing is this cover of Prince's song? Such an upbeat romance song! Love it!

The cloudscape we live under really gives amazing images for us to live under!
I would prefer a swan in my place, but I had to use what was available
The cloud looked layered, darkest, dark, Light and glowing!

{Valentine's post} Love exhibition at the Darkroom

Roses are red
Mumford & Sons - Winter Winds
Feature
Small but brilliantly detailed
Been a while again, yes? Well you are all really quite lucky I managed to get this up today because my laptop is broken! Not completely but the internet on it is dead slow, and I mean really dead slow. It took an hour to upload one of the images. So here I am sitting on a tiny keyboard on my sisters netbook. On Sunday I managed to pop down to the Darkroom for a look at their 'love' exhibition which was all for charity. There were some great pieces and I really enjoyed the feel of the store in general. It's a sort of odd mix of interior furnishings to fashion. So people can be stylish in their home as well as out and about. Would have loved to have bought something but my wallet isn't that full at the moment, more like empty, finding work is hard for a student who isn't free half of Saturdays. There was a lot of fine detail in everything available in the shop, my dad particularly liked the heating. I managed to drag him along, even if it's not his 'thing'. The art pieces where really great. They were all one offs from different artists and designers. It was really good to see how all sorts of diferent views there were on 'love'. One of my particular favourites was a list of lots of different love songs on  large piece of paper, it stood out because it was quite different from anything else there. I have to say though that every one was interesting and brilliant in it's own way.

Another interesting thing to look at was the amount of jewellery, again interesting and almost ancient looking designs. No wonder the price tags are so high. There seems to be a lot of love and care around everything in this shop, from the cushions to the blankets and so on. The love exhibition was also a nice bonus to see. I might just wonder back in there when I have some spare cash to spend. So you know where to go if your wondering around London looking for an unusual store.

One more great thing I got to see was 'The people's supermarket' as I turned the corner into Great Ormond street  I saw a rather familiar white store sign. I had seen an advert for a documentary on this place, so breifly checking it out and reading some interesting facts on the store windows about them, I caught the program on Tv and managed to point out to everyone 'I was there before it was famous' sort of. I spent the rest of the day going round taking pictures of pretty much anything. So here's my 'love' related post for Valentine's day. The day does manage to depress me but seeing all these love related things popping up everywhere does interest me and I think instead of moaning we should just accept the day for what it is, even if it's all about spending money. New self portraits up soon! I think they are some of the best ones so far! Can't wait to share them. Much love especially on Valentine's day and ty for reading as always, enjoy the photos! ~

You would definitely stand out
 from the crowd with this
Love comes in different colours
Here's that list of songs to get listening to
